Elias has worked for Listín Diario, Hoy, and El Nacional, as well as for Lourdes Salame & Asoc. His own design studio specializes in annual reports, books, and branding, and has provided editorial design for several major companies in the Dominican Republic. He has illustrated many children’s books and is the founder of the children’s magazine Zum Zum. Among his latest illustration projects are the expo The History of the Bank, for Banco Popular, and the poster for the 21st Book Fair Santo Domingo (2018).

Elías has participated in many group and solo exhibitions and competitions in the Dominican Republic and abroad, including the E. León Jimenes Art Contest, in Santiago, and various shows at Santo Domingo’s Museum of Modern Art and Galería ASR. Among his many prizes and distinctions: participation as special guest at Panamá Gráfico (2009) and the Ibero-American Design Biennial, Madrid (2008 and 2018); representation of the Dominican Republic in Latin American Graphic Design (Taschen, 2008); and presentation of a special address at the Asociación Latinoamericana de Diseño (ALADI) meeting in Buenos Aires (2003). His works are in important national and international private and public collections.
