Choose the admission option of your preference:
- Bootcamp: it is a workshop where you will work one week hand in hand with a CHAVÓN teacher, during the classes you will develop a series of exercises and projects in which your skills and knowledge will be evaluated for your admission to technical careers
- Portfolio: A compendium of 10-12 works you have done, the portfolio should demonstrate an applicant’s general ability in the visual arts and highlight any special interests. To make it more meaningful, a good portfolio should be made up of relatively recent work.
Portfolios will be reviewed by the academic and admissions team.

You must complement your choice by doing one of the following activities:
(Must be submitted at the time you complete the application for admission via SlideRoom).
For careers in Fine Arts, Graphic Design & Communication, Photography, Illustration, Fashion Design, Fashion Merchandising & Communication, Interior & Product Design and Animation:
A) Self-Portrait
You must make it using any technique (drawing, painting, illustration, photography, poetry, etc...).
B) Design Test
It is a career-specific activity.
- Fine Arts: Create an urban or rural landscape with the collage technique, you can use the following materials: colored paper, torn magazine pages, other printed materials or a combination of both. If you want to use a different two-dimensional material, feel free to apply it.
- Photography: Narrate a story with 5 photographic images.
- Graphic Design and Communications: Create a poster for a concert and/or film.
- Illustration: Illustrates a scene from a historical event.
- Interior and Product Design: Make a moodboard with images and/or photographs representing the furniture for your bedroom in the dimensions of (width 4m x length 3m x height 2.20m), worked to scale.
- Fashion Marketing and Communication:
- Option 1: Select a style or artistic trend and through photographs, present a moodboard with (5) looks for an editorial.
- Option 2: Conduct an interview of 5 to 10 questions to a fashion professional. Submit the interview already done.
- Fashion Design: Make a moodboard of inspiration and from that, present 5 designs.
- Animation: Make a Flipbook.
C) CHAVÓN Challenge
- Choose an object, place or activity that usually goes unnoticed in your environment or daily activity.
- Using any technique (drawing, painting, illustration, photography…) present (3) original interpretations of the same object. Each one can be done in one or more techniques.
- The chosen object should be supported by an essay of approximately 250 words describing the concept with which the practical part has been developed.
- Through the (3) pieces, the applicant must communicate a conceptual and creative response.
For the Film career:
- Film candidates should choose the portfolio option.
- Complement the portfolio with the following three activities:
- Self-portrait
- A one-page essay about your favorite movie and why.
- A one-page letter of intent stating your reasons for wanting to study film at CHAVÓN.
