The Art Gallery

The Art Gallery at CHAVÓN presents works that explore the many trends in the world of art. Shows include various art forms —photography, painting, drawing,sculpture, and crafts — putting visitors in contact with the great variety and vitality of contemporary cultural currents. Exhibitions have ranged from provocative installations to rustic furniture. Antonio López, Howard Kanowitz, and Larry Rivers are among the legendary artists who have shown their work in this space. Through its exhibits, The Gallery achieves an important cultural dialog and promotes an interchange between Dominican and international artists, while also offering students from CHAVÓN The School of Design a chance to exhibit their work. Dominican artists exhibiting in The Gallery have the opportunity to meet the ever- changing population of visitors to CHAVÓN, while international exhibitors gain access to the local arts community and Dominican art critics.
