Campus: La Romana
Since CHAVÓN opened its doors in 1983, it has developed short intensive courses focused on art and design during the winter month of January at Altos de Chavón, La Romana. University students, high school students, recent graduates, young professionals, and art and design enthusiasts participate in a selection of one to two-week programs taught by renowned professionals in their respective fields.
Studies have shown that intense immersion in a specific creative discipline can result in a significantly enhanced learning experience. Guided by a faculty of accomplished professionals and working with like-minded classmates, students share their commitment to a chosen subject in a rigorous, demanding and professional atmosphere – a unique experience designed to foster fast-track learning of both technical and conceptual principles.
CHAVÓN’s tropical location is an ideal destination for cultural and educational tourism. The wide variety of courses offered under different formats, allows for a diverse public to come together at CHAVÓN, creating unique cultural and educational dynamic among faculty and students.
