Technical Film Career

General Description

The technical program in Film at CHAVÓN is based on a modular and interdisciplinary curriculum, which combines theory and practice from multiple formats of production and realization. Through this methodology, students explore the impact of contemporary art, critical thinking and visual culture, developing a personal look at one of the most powerful communication vehicles of the 21st century: the audiovisual.

With a steadily growing film industry in the Dominican Republic, professional opportunities in this field are broad and constantly evolving.

Admissions

Admission to CHAVÓN requires high school graduation with a satisfactory grade-point average, the presentation of a portfolio,*  and an interview. For detailed information about admissions procedures, click here.

*Applicants to the program in Fashion Marketing and Communications are not required to present a portfolio but must complete the CHAVÓN Challenge.
