Artista visual dominicana, quien ha desarrollado su carrera entre las ciudades de Miami y New York. En el año 2010 realizó la maestría en Educación artística (MS) en Florida International University (FIU).

Al inicio de su carrera se dedicó a la ilustración, diseñando para: revistas, periódicos, publicaciones educacionales e ilustración de libros infantiles. Entre sus clientes se destacan compañías como Target, Highsmith Press, Scholastic, Lee and Low Books y Latina Magazine. Su libro “Diego Quiere Ser” ganó el concurso the Multicultural Publisher ‘s Exchange en 1995.

A partir del año 2000, se dedicó completamente a las bellas artes, fue parte de los artistas seleccionados en dos centros de residencias artísticas del sur de la Florida; primero en el ArtCenter/South Florida y luego en Bakehouse Art Complex, formado parte de una innovadora comunidad creativa, que fomentan las artes en el sur de la Florida.

En el 2015 participó en la residencia de artistas internacionales “Art Beyond Boundaries” en el Art Hub de la ciudad de Abu Dhabi en los Emiratos Árabes Unidos. Participó en la SUR:  Biennial de Los Ángeles en el 2013.

Su trabajo ha sido expuesto en salas nacionales e internacionales. Actualmente Rodríguez reside en la ciudad de New York, donde forma parte de la iniciativa “100 Gates”, donde artistas locales transforman las rejas de negocios neoyorquinos en obras de arte.

El Museo infantil de la ciudad de Miami “The Miami Children ‘s Museum” adquirió la obra “Historias del Paraíso # 2” para su área de exhibición permanente de arte.

Recientemente la colección de la serie de dibujos “Monocorde” fue incluida en los archivos del Instituto de Estudios Dominicanos CUNY en la City University of New York.

Created illustrations for Juan Luis Guerra & 440, HuffPost, The Washington Post, Playboy, Johnnie Walker, Toyota, Car2go, ING Creatives Dubai Festival in which she worked for MoMa, NASA, National Geographic, among others.

Publications of her art may be found in books such as Maps of the world, Map Mania, Di Casa in Casa, Tales of Nonsense and Fantastic Illustration V.

Participation in collective exhibitions in London, Cheltenham, Vienna, Hamburg, Barcelona and Dubai.

After graduation, Luis studied video creation in real time, motion graphics, and stop motion in Buenos Aires. He has been an art director, VJ, and motion graphics artist. Since 2014 he has worked Closely with CHAVÓN, developing signage for both campuses and graphic systems for the school’s continuing education programs. For three years he was director of CHAVÓN’s Visual Communications department and was also an artist in residence, showing his works at the Altos de Chavón Gallery. His company, Moto Studio, specializes in designing brand experiences and audiovisual productions.

Marina Spadafora is a Fair Fashion ambassador in the world, and Director of the Fashion Department, CHAVÓN The School of Design.

She has deep roots in Fashion having had her own brand and collaborated with Ferragamo, Prada, Miu Miu and Marni and Aspesi. She has been the creative director of Auteurs du Monde, the Fair Trade brand of Altromercato, working with artisans all over the world.

Marina is a professor of ethical fashion at prestigious academies in Italy and abroad. Marina’s work has always included a strong focus on social issues and ecology, believing that ethics and aesthetics can coincide. Her motto is “Fashion with a Mission”.

Marina Spadafora works to bring development to emerging countries through her FWAM, Fashion with a Mission, platform. She is the Italian national coordinator of Fashion Revolution. Marina has received the United Nations Women Together Award in 2015 in New York and gave a TEDx Talk on sustainable fashion in 2014 and in 2021.

In 2020 she wrote the book “The revolution starts from your wardrobe” with Luisa Ciuni published by Solferino Libri.

Julio is a painter, printmaker, teacher, and mixed-media installation artist whose work has been exhibited internationally since 1984. In 1994 he received a fellowship from the Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop, in New York City, where he now resides and where he founded Julio Valdez Studio, which specializes in nontoxic contemporary printmaking processes. His art evokes the Caribbean region’s physical beauty and varied cultures as well as his Afro-Caribbean roots, and references his childhood memories of the Caribbean and contemporary issues of displacement and cultural identity.

Julio has exhibited at many museums and galleries, including the Omar Rayo Museum, in Colombia; the Latin American Masters Gallery, in Santa Monica, California; the June Kelly Gallery, in New York; and the Museo de Arte Moderno, Santo Domingo, at whose national biennials he won prizes in five consecutive years. In addition Julio has won an artist-in-residence fellowship at The Studio Museum in Harlem, New York; the Silver Palette for Painting at the XXX International Painting Festival, Cagnes-sur-Mer, France; the Grand Prize at the XVII E. Leon Jimenes Biennial in the Dominican Republic; a New York Foundation for the Arts fellowship; and a fellowship from the National Academy and Museum, New York, for Advanced Studies in Public Art. He has held a solo exhibition at the Organization of American States in Washington, D.C., and was nominated to the American Academy of Arts and Letters. The Library of Congress owns one of his prints, and the U.S. Department of State purchased a large triptych painting for the permanent collection of its Art in Embassies Program. The hardcover book Julio Valdez, by Federica Palomero, was published in 2009 in New York.

At UBS, Amin designs and builds digital innovations for investment research. He leads a team of experience designers working across UBS in New York and London. Previously he was a digital creative director at R/GA, where he won a Lion award at Cannes and the R/GA Grand Cube Award, given to the most outstanding employee. Working with that agency for more than 12 years, he held six titles and worked for over 50 clients, including Nike, MasterCard, L’Oréal, and McCormick.

Enmanuel specializes in motion graphics and visual communication. After graduation he studied motion graphics, stop motion, and VFX in Buenos Aires, where he worked on animation projects for 2Veinte and Bravo Studio, and as an animator for audiovisual experiences for the production house Sasami. Since 2015 he has taught motion graphicsat the CHAVÓN School of Design. His company, Moto Studio, specializes in designing brand experiences and audiovisual productions.

After participating in several group photography shows, in 2005 Laura began collaborating with Israel Cárdenas. Together they founded the production company Aurora Dominicana and directed several films: Cochochi (2007), Jean Gentil (2010), Carmita (2013), Dólares de Arena (2014), Sambá (2017), Noelí en los Países (2017), and La Fiera y la Fiesta (2019).

Boris started as an illustrator at the age of 14, creating comic strips for the Dominican children’s magazine Tobogán, later serving as illustrator and graphic designer for the newspaper Listín Diario. After graduation, Boris worked as a graphic designer in New York for REOL Services, a company providing digital strategy and marketing solutions for the real estate industry. His greatest professional satisfaction has been his creation of the illustrations accompanying the exhibits at Altos de Chavón’s Regional Archaeological Museum. Today he holds the position of graphic designer at New York’s prestigious Juilliard School.

She specializes in capsule and special-project development in all product categories. Her clients have included Frye, Adam Selman, Maybelline, Dyne, C. Wonder, Select, DKNY Active, and Heatherette.
