Established as a nonprofit organization, the Foundation emerged with the mission of fostering an artistic community in the Dominican Republic while connecting artists to exceptional opportunities in art, design, and culture.
Throughout more than four decades, the Foundation has enriched the region’s artistic and cultural landscape through diverse initiatives including artist residency programs, gallery exhibitions, museum collections, and an internationally acclaimed design school.
The Altos de Chavón Cultural Center Foundation is a nonprofit organization committed to promoting art, design, and culture in the Dominican Republic. It focuses on providing opportunities to talented young people and connecting them with the necessary resources for their development and professional success, transforming lives through art and design education.
The Foundation supports CHAVÓN School of Design through scholarship management and financial aid, donations for equipment, workshops, visiting professors, and other initiatives that enrich the academic curriculum and expand opportunities for students, fostering Dominican and regional talent while promoting a creative and dynamic environment in the industry.
